Is the DRM debate about religion rather than facts? Is Lessig a religous leader rather than a researcher? And why are Europeans so non-visible in the international copyright debate? Greplaw has picked Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren's brain.

In this GrepLaw interview, Downhill
Battle's Nicholas Reville describes the success (and takedown) of SP2Torrent.com,
alternative ways to buy music, what indie musicians think about filesharing,
and real ways to counter threats to creativity and an open culture. Those excited
about the possibilities of Bittorrent
will especially appreciate Downhill Battle's Blog
Torrent, an easy-to-install program that will dramatically simplify the
creation, posting, and seeding of new torrents.

Hero or troll? Opinions differ. Freedom fighter or eccentric? Both, if you bother to ask him. Sarong or turban? Both, anytime! Greplaw has picked John Gilmore's brain.
Gilmore filed his final answer by email at 4.50 AM. Gilmore has also added some bonus questions of his own to this Greplaw editor's pleasure. We are impressed. The so called bonus material is edited in along the text and not specifically highlighted. Most (but not all!) of the less pleasant questions are Greplaw's, though...

Find out in this exclusive Greplaw interview with the professor of Wayne State University. Also, we have picked Litman's brain on subjects as the CAN-Spam Act, Napster and the UDRP.

Seth Finkelstein is Mr Anti-Censorware. The MIT graduate and EFF Pioneer has devoted his talents into unpaid anti-censorware research. For good and bad, as it turns out. Finkelstein has not only spent a great amount of hours fighting censorware, he has also done his best to fight the digital millennium copyright act. If that's not enough to get you started - learn why punditry in blogs is not democracy. Greplaw has picked Finkelstein's brain.

The World Summit on the Information Society is held in two phases. The first phase of WSIS took place in Geneva last week. It addressed the broad range of themes concerning the Information Society and adopted a Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action. The second phase will take place in Tunis hosted by the Government of Tunisia, from 16 to 18 November 2005. The WSIS raises one important question - that of ICANN's role.
