Now here's an interesting domain hijacking situation. The Penguin Group has created the Katie.com "brand" with full knowledge that Katie.com belonged to someone else. Katherine Tarbox (KatieT.com, author [katie@katiet.com] of the book, Katie.com) is often confused with the real owner of Katie.com (Katie Jones, katie@katie.com), resulting in a deluge of unwanted traffic and e-mail.
The real doosy? Katie Tarbox's lawyer has tried (unsuccessfully, I hope) to convince Katie Jones that she should should donate the domain name to them.
