Microsoft Fighting For Free Internet

Copyright Business Software Alliance and Computer Systems Policy Project, with members such as Microsoft and HP, will launch a lobbying campaign to strike back against Hollywood in a battle to shape rules of the road for new digital technologies.

Surprising this may sound it is very predictable. Mike Goodwin has an excellent write-up on why Hollywood wants to hack your computer, published by Reason. Let us just hope that the big technology companies do not forget the important issues of software freedom fighting for their cause.
