In reaction to the rapid rise of DVD seizures in Asia, the Motion Picture Association launched today a $150,000 reward program, which offers money to individuals providing information on DVD piracy. The MPA estimates that 98% of DVD piracy in Asia during 2001 caused its members to lose $598 million, while worldwide losses are estimated beyond $3 billion. Check out Reuters for a full article.
