Internet Security Breaches on the Rise

Security In an industry report due out today, the Internet security firm, Riptech, Inc., reveals that Internet attacks against public and private organizations have risen 28 % in the past six months. After tracking more than 400 organizations, the study found 180,000 successful cyber-security breaches, with a substantial growth of attacks against large, critical service industries, including health-care, power and energy providers. Further, given the elusiveness of hackers and the global context of cyberspace, the insecurity of an online infrastructure coexists with inefficient cyber patrols. These findings bring about interesting points of discussion for lawyers, concerning cyber patrols, digital discovery, Internet and international law...
