How can a musician who doesn't cater towards "indie" music, say, a pure bubblegum pop musician, or a musical entertainer (someone whose market value is decided by music combined with image, regardless of proportion), survive? The problem assumes that current musicians care only about their music. The claim is that entertainers who need media blitzing can't survive... But there hasn't been any reason why they don't have the right to.
