321 Studios May Not Sell DVD Software

Copyright U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston has decided to barr 321 Studios LLC from manufacturing, distributing or otherwise trafficking in software that allows users to copy DVDs, according to an IDG news story. The EFF is not happy.

'In passing the DMCA, Congress certainly did not intend to eliminate all consumer copying,' said EFF Legal Director Cindy Cohn in a press statement.
