Peter Yu writes "The Quello Center for Telecommunication Management & Law and the Intellectual Property & Communications Law Program at Michigan State University are proud to present their Fifth Annual Quello Communication Policy and Law Symposium in the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. on February 24-25, 2005. Entitled "Harnessing the Swarm: Business Strategy, Rights Management & Policy for the New Media," this conference showcases the latest thinking on digital transition, VoIP, WiFi, media ownership, and digital rights management and provides opportunities to network with experts who are shaping the future of the new communications industries. The conference includes a pre-conference panel on "Balancing Business, Consumer and Citizen interests in the Digital Age" on Tuesday, February 24. Participants include Fritz Attaway (MPAA), Alan Davidson (Center for Democracy and Technology), Mike Godwin (Public Knowledge), Steven Marks (RIAA), Stevan Mitchell (Interactive Digital Software Association), Amy Nathan (FCC), and Peter Yu (MSU).
