Spam Dies When Money Stops Flowing

News Although spammers are using ever-more-sophisticated methods to flood your inbox, tracking spamemrs down isn't all that complicated, according to a new Wired story.

'The vast majority of spam has a U.S. connection: the vendor. So you don't have to go to Romania to find the spammer,' Anne Mitchell, president of the Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy, told Wired. 'It's easier to find the vendors. When they are on the hook legally, they are all too happy to point the finger at the spammer.'
