Norway Toughens Privacy

privacy The Norweigan Data Inspectorate will go after people publish embarrassing pictures of others without permission. Also other tougher regulations of privacy intrusions may be the effect of a recent ruling by a European Union tribunal in a case dealing with the Swedish implementation of the EU Data Directive. There will still be a need to make exceptions for journalistic publishing, but the balance between privacy and freedom of speech on the Internet will tilt in the direction of privacy.
