Judge Considers Pacific Bell, RIAA Case
posted by scubacuda on Tuesday November 25, @03:50AM
from the keep-it-in-Cali!!! dept.
News PC World and others: Pacific Bell Internet, a subsidiary of SBC Communications, is asking the Washington DC court to block more than 200 subpoenas issued by the RIAA, which ask the ISP to reveal the identities of alleged file-swappers using its service. Moving the case to Washington could hurt Pacific Bell's case, as the Washington court's Judge John D. Bates has already ruled in favor of the RIAA in a similar case.
