News The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is concerned with paid inclusions in search engines' results. Are consumers being confused because of the results being tampered with for commercial reasons? The FTC seems to think so. This deals first and foremost with paid inclusions but there are also companies designing search templates that are displayed to the search engines' robots to increase ratings. Is this consumer information or unmarked advertisements? As usual, the Internet puts the traditional legislation in a tight corner...
