Maybe, Maybe not.
The one fortune 500 company is very likely Microsoft. There has been a rumor floating around that Microsoft could have paid them a substantial licensing fee to help fund their assault on LINUX. If this is the case, their numbers are a one time (basically exceptional) item which does not bode well for the future.
What we really do not know here is whether or not their business is better, or whether these results are income from a friendly partner.

Actually, no, what Microsoft announced in May was that they had paid to license SCO's Unix System V source code in order to build better Unix interoperability into Windows. Microsoft has not announced that it will pay SCO for run-time Linux licenses; indeed, the linked story pre-dates SCO's announcement of their Linux licensing program.
