Antitrust Antitrust issues have emerged in Oracle's attempt to take over rival software company PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft's board said that if Oracle were to take over PeopleSoft, the combination of the two companies would create an unfair advantage for Oracle and hurt competition in the market for business software applications. On top of the antitrust suit, PeopleSoft recently added accusations to its lawsuit, asserting that Oracle tried to disrupt its customer relationships and engaged in other unfair practices.
