Fewer Downloaders Than Expected

Copyright In his latest column, Mr Dan Ackman of Forbes, suggest that fewer people are downloading music (illegally) than expected. Mr Ackman quotes a study from Pew Internet & American Life Project that suggests that 62 percent of U.S. Internet users neither download music, nor share it with others. I do not know what Mr Ackman expected, but if the study is correct, 29 percent downloads music and 12 percent both download and share music (I know - this does not add up too a 100 percent, but I guess the figures are approximations). To me - that sounds like a very high number, not least since most Internet users hardly are savvy enough to know how to share or download music files.
