Censorship Tom Paine: Lisa J. Danetz, staff attorney at the National Voting Rights Institute and the author of an amicus brief in the pending Supreme Court case, Nike v. Kasky, has written an article examining some of the issues in the lawsuit that activist Marc Kasky brought against Nike for allegedly making false statements about its labor practices in Third-World factories. If Nike wins, the Supreme Court will have decided that corporations enjoy the same First Amendment protection as we do.
