Privacy Complaints Against eBay & Amazon

privacy miladus writes that According to ComputerWorld, Junkbusters filed a complaint against eBay's privacy policies whereas EPIC filed one against Amazon. eBay's privacy policy's summary apparently says it will turn over personal data to outside agencies only when absolutely necessary, while its more detailed policy states that eBay will turn over such information at its discretion and without a warrant or subpoena. Amazon (under the jurisdiction of COPPA) allows kids children under age 13 to enter private information on the site that can then be viewed by others.
