Spanish Proposal to EU on Passenger Data
posted by mpawlo on Friday March 28, @02:24AM
from the personal-data-paella dept.
Civil Liberties miladus writes "According to Statewatch the Spanish government is submitting a proposal to the EC Council Directive requiring '"carriers" (airlines and shipping lines) to collect and send data on all passengers "at the time of boarding" to the law enforcement agencies of the destination country.' Full text of the proposal here (pdf). The Spanish proposal leaves out any mention of privacy or rules on data rentention."
