Targususer writes "I guess Kazaa/Sharman/LET intends to put those hard-won, ill-gotten advertising dollars to use. Following up on Patel's dicta from the Napster case, the suit alleges that copyright misuse has stymied Altnet's licensed distribution of Big Content's works.
The story is here." CNet's coverage explains that the antitrust claims are based on allegations that record company officials were repeatedly told not to make any licensing deals to third parties, all the while building their own online music delivery services. Another interesting factoid is that Kazaa is now more popular than Napster was during its peak, based on the number of clients downloaded.
