Antitrust The recent settlement of the U.S. and states' antitrust case against Microsoft included provision of a three member panel to ensure Microsoft's compliance with the agreement. On Friday, two members of the panel, which will consist of technically oriented persons, were proposed by the government and Microsoft, in separate motions. The states proposed CEO of Network Associates, Harry Saal, while Microsoft proposed former Microsoft general manager Franklin Fite. Both are considered to be experts in the software engineering field.

Coverage of the requests can be found at PC World, the Seattle Times, CNet News, and lots of other places.
