ICANN on ICANN

Internet Governance Jonathan Cohen of Shapiro & Cohen has replied to Lauren Weinstein's article ICANN needs another long trip. Mr Cohen is an ICANN board member and very negative about the negative media attention on ICANN. I guess the Greplaw article ICANN without Schmucks add to Cohen's irritation. Cohen concludes:

"walk a mile in my shoes, take off the mirror glasses and pitch in and help!"

I am going to paraphrase Bill O'Reilly on this one. Mr Jonathan Cohen, that is a bogus argument used by charlatans all over the world. Could I, according to the same line of reasoning, not pass judgement over the Nazi concentration camps because I was not a camp guard? Come on! ICANN's current structure is flawed, and I should be able to say so without having to join its flawed board.

Read Jonathan Cohen's article at Wired.
