Copyright A new issue of The TIIP (Technological Innovation and Intellectual Property) newsletter is out. TIIP "summarizes new research on technological innovation and intellectual property as an aid to both scholarly researchers and interested non-academics."

In the latest issue Philippe Aigrain proposes a framework to analyze government policy for licensing publicly-funded software and Nancy Gallini and Suzanne Scotchmer review the literature that compares patents to other mechanisms for promoting innovation, including prizes and government contracts.
