Attorneys for Eric Eldred and other plaintiffs in the landmark Eldred v. Ashcroft copyright litigation are a mere one day away from oral arguments before the Supreme Court of the United States. Tomorrow is sure to be a day of excitement, though an opinion on the case is not likely to be handed down for several months. Today, however, you can still enjoy coverage of the case by Wired.com, which includes some quotes from co-counsel Jonathan Zittrain. Also recently posted was a USA Today editorial piece on the case by Larry Downes. Downes is key to point out that the Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Act is liable to hurt Disney and other content industry stalwars more than it will help them. Go, Larry, go.
Update: The Berkman Center has posted a press info. sheet on Eldred; scroll down to the bottom for a list of handy online resources. Also see Copyfight for ongoing updates.
