Goverments and Censorware vs. Internet Opposition
posted by filter_editor on Tuesday September 03, @10:08AM
from the censorship-here,-there-and-everywhere dept.
Censorship Seth Finkelstein writes "AP has an article describing the struggles between governments and censorware-makers vs. technology opposition. It describes much of the efforts of government/censorware collaboration in making sure the Internet doesn't route around their censorship, and states 'They have largely succeeded.' As I say, remember, if any reading control works against minors in America, it'll work against citizens in China (and inversely, if it doesn't work against citizens in China, it won't work against minors in America)."
