Criminal Law In a CIO column the lack of reported cybercrimes is discussed. According to conventional wisdom, cybercrimes are being swept under the carpet due to many reasons. A different take is provided by columnist Sarah D. Scalet who suggests companies still have to decide exactly when a cybercrime becomes a crime. Scalet concludes:

'In the end, getting companies to report computer crimes may be both more rudimentary and more complicated than anyone hoped.'
