Copyright Drew Arrowood writes "The Greplaw community has been complaining about how there isn’t a way to affect political change. Here is a candidate for U.S. Congress who has clearly come out for the repeal of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). He is asking for contributions via PayPal. US Citizens only, please …. BTW, he is ahead in several different polls conducted in his district."

    1. This candidate uses a .com address for his site, instead of the more proper and clueful .org for a noncommercial campaign site. (.info would be another properly logical choice.)
    2. 2) His only visible means of contributing is via PayPal, thus locking out those who can't or won't use that problematic service (see my anti-PayPal site [haters.info]).

Wanhh... Why don't you look up his opponents and point out their faults? Hopefully you can find more than .com and paypal to ding them on.

If PayPal bothers you, why don't you contact him and find out how else you can contribute without using it?

I picked the .com rather than the .org because ordinary people tend to type in the .com for everything (perhaps I should register both).

Thanks for the paypal information; what do you suggest as other ways to contribute? Certainly the regular address is on the first page.
