The Internet Society, ISOC, is bidding to become the manager of the .ORG registry. On December 31, 2002, the current registry agreement for the operation of the .org top-level domain expires. Therefore, ICANN is in the process of reviewing proposals from applicants seeking to become the successor operator for .org. Other applicants include directly or through partnership well-known entities in the domain name business like VeriSign, Neulevel and Register.com. In a more surprising move, we also find International Federation of Red Cross among the applicants.
All applicants for dot-org.
