Antitrust It was a busy day for those keeping tabs on Microsoft's legal adventures. Yesterday in its antitrust trial, Judge Kollar-Kotelly ruled that she would allow a demonstration of a modularized version of WindowsXP that separates certain features of the OS from the core functionality. Microsoft has alternatingly argued that such a configuration is impossible and would harm consumers. Meanwhile, a witness for microsoft admitted that Microsoft uses its Internet Explorer software to override users' preferences with regard to what music player they want to run. Meanwhile, Newsforge reports on a little-known copyright infringement conviction of Microsoft that took place in France.
