Mo. Judge: Computer Games Are Not Free Speech

Digital Entertainment Kolya writes "Judge Stephan Limbaugh (Rush Limbaugh's uncle) has ruled in a Missouri District Court that computer games are not protected speech, as they do not convey significant information. Limbaugh distinguishes other cases that have held that some games can be protected speech by finding that he cannot agree that some games convey information while others do not; he resolves the controversy by comparing all interactive computer entertainment to Bingo. The opinion, a response to a summary judgment motion, is available here."
