Yahoo! Yodels for a Settlement
posted by turmis on Tuesday April 23, @03:46PM
from the Moneeeeeeeeeeeeeee dept.
News Yahoo! reached a quick settlement in the lawsuit brought by Wylie Gustafson of Wylie & the Wild West. Gustafson was paid a whopping $590 for his original yodel in 1996 but claimed that Yahoo! hadn't paid him a single royalty for the subsequent uses starting in 1999. The parties reached a settlement very shortly after the $5 million lawsuit was filed. Details about the settlement were not released. Yahoo! has stated that Wylie's yodel would continue to appear in its advertising. Read more at Cnet.
