Isenberg writes "GigaLaw.com has just launched a blog. Published by GigaLaw.com founder Doug Isenberg, the blog provides news, analysis and documents about important and interesting developments in Internet and technology law.
Among the blog's first postings:
- Copies of the complaints filed by L.L. Bean against four advertisers who use Claria's pop-up services, and the complaint by Claria against L.L. Bean that followed. The blog notes that "the lawsuits by L.L. Bean are the first against advertisers of third-party pop-up services. "
- Copies of eight new complaints filed by Microsoft under the CAN-SPAM Act. The blog notes that "[t]hese are not the first complaints filed by Microsoft under the new CAN-SPAM Act...." All of the complaints are available in GigaLaw.com's CAN-SPAM Library.
- An observation that Britain's recent request that an ISP more clearly label paid search results "seems quite similar to an issue the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) addressed here in the United States two years ago." The blog reviews the FTC's action in the previous matter brought by consumer group Commercial Alert.
The blog is available on GigaLaw.com's home page and also via RSS."
