EU Says Yes to Software Patentability

News 361 for, 135 against, 28 abstentions.

The EU Parliament Vote on Software patentability was cast today. The outcome is a win for software patentability. Some anti-software patentability proponents claim this a victory, since the final amendments to the text makes it less clear-cut, but this should still be regarded as a move towards increased software patentability in the EU.

    Sorry, you are wrong.
This was very definate vote against software patents (perhaps even too definate, because commission will perhaps now kill the directive.)
The analysis-process is still going on but it is already clear that practically ALL the demands of FFII were met.
