'Hack-proof' Cryptography Goes Quantum
posted by scubacuda on Saturday June 07, @03:32AM

Security Computing, EEE Times, and vnune.com: Researchers have developed a new technology (based on quantum cryptography) that could allow companies to implement hack-proof communications in three years. Quantum cryptography allows users on an optical network to guarantee security by encoding each transmitted bit with a single particle of light. Commercial products incorporating this technology could be available in less than three years, according to Toshiba Research laboratory group leader, Andrew Shields.

Big flaw in entanglement QC encryption (Score:0)

Of course, one solution to "hack-proof" QC that includes entanglement is easy and readily available to governments world wide...

Simply always intercept the message. Its simple, defeats the purpose of QC entanglement protection, and requires users to use a different algorithm for security.
