Swiss ISPs to Log Email Traffic
posted by mpawlo on Wednesday April 02, @05:32AM
from the huge-hard-drive dept.
Civil Liberties miladus writes "Statewatch reports that Swiss ISPs will have to keep records of emails for 6 months starting April 1 2003. Authorities can only access strored data as part of an investigation of criminal cases. ISPs will keep logs of email traffic but they will not store email content. Details at the Swiss Internet User Group (in German)."
