Swedish Views on Law and IT

News IT Law Observatory of the Swedish ICT Commission has published an anthology in English that may interest Greplaw's readers. The anthology, Law and Information Technology - Swedish Views, deals with a wide range of issues concerning the law, policy, IT in the courts, copyright and freedom and much more.

There are twenty-two contributors, picked from the observatory and from the network of experts that the IT Law Observatory has consulted during the years.

Professor Dr Peter Seipel states in the preface:

"A recurring theme in the contributions to this anthology has to do with the nature of the relationships between law and ICT (information and communication technology). In a nutshell: are the relationships between law and ICT important and particular enough to merit special attention?
Three reasons argue for an affirmative answer. The first has to do with complexity. The second with magnitude. The third with uncertainty."

A hardcopy can be obtained from Fritzes for SEK 199, but I do not know if Fritzes ship overseas.

Yes, your humble correspondent is one of the contributors, but don't let that stop you from reading this book.
