Copyright Aaron Swartz has done the deed: he's posted a transcript of the Supreme Court hearing of Eldred v. Ashcroft--not entirely denuded of its (proprietary) Lexis-Nexis roots. Update: Aaron may have had second thoughts.

Are those references, such as [*1], references to the "denuded... (proprietary) Lexis-Nexis roots"? If not, I would appreciate a link to something that contains the notes.

Yes, I'm the kind of jerk that actually reads those notes...

The [*1] refers to the page number in the official print transcript. The only thing Aaron did was to insert the names of some of the justices. I have not had time to verify that he got them all correct.

Thank you very much. I am glad it was something simple :)
