News miladus writes "The struggle between ISPs and Hollywood continues. The RIAA wants a federal judge to force Verizon to name a subscriber accused of trading music files online, according to a report in the Washington Post. Verzion had already agreed to reveal the subscriber's name if the RIAA were to file a separate 'John Doe' suit against the individual.  But RIAA lawyer Cary Sherman said "anti-piracy laws don't require a separate suit, which would require more time and expense."
