    Sweden has had what might be the highest levels of openess in the world since 1766. These principles of openess would save many billions euro if adopted by the EU. Many of the scandals and financial travesties would not have been possible if decisions were made in the daylight.

    Also, the U.S. could benefit from analysis of this part of the Swedish constitution. The current political state in the U.S. and the push to hide the decision making process have strong parallels with the conditions that caused 18th century Sweden to rewrite its constitution.
